The brand that doesn’t wear suits: meet the Fund of the President of Ukraine

Not another boring gov brand
We worked on the visual identity for the Fund of the President of Ukraine—a fund that backs talented Ukrainians in education, science, and sports. And we are very proud of it.

We faced a few challenges:
1. Avoid creating another official and boring institution.
2. Present the foundation as a real support for a new wave of talent.
3. Show that it's about people—and for people.
4. Make it stand out from classic fundraising platforms, yep, even UNITED24.

Digitalized Ukrainian embroidery
The visual identity is based on a unique national design, which plays an important role in creating Ukraine's image in the modern world. We gave traditional patterns a fresh spin, staying true to their roots but speaking in a modern voice.
The logo—a digital nod to heritage—was born from the grid-inspired Ukrainian traditional patterns. Soon, it outlined unique geometric shapes that formed the branding. The icons represent the Fund's different directions and programs.

When it came to color, we skipped the clichés. There were no overdone “national” palettes here—just tones inspired by real Ukrainian nature.

A custom font for a special project
FPU is a custom font created for the Fund of the President of Ukraine. It is a contemporary sans-serif display font with pronounced curvy shapes that are reinterpreted and based on modernism. The font fits perfectly for headings and looks authentic in design, which needs a bold impression.
The font supports both Сyrillic and Latin languages and expresses Ukrainian Folk motives through the Latin alphabet—a tool for spreading the word about talented Ukrainians around the globe.

Online presentation of the Fund
The website needed to represent the Fund, attract international partners, inform talented Ukrainians about opportunities, and share important updates. That’s why we built it in two languages from the start: English and Ukrainian. To keep things simple, we also added an admin panel that makes posting news in both languages quick and easy.
The site comes to life with interactive horizontal scrolling, 3D animations, and visual reconstruction of the V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University History Museum.

A bold brand for brave talents
We’re proud to see the identity come to life at offline events—like its debut at the First National Forum of Talented Youth. This kind of branding feels especially right for the new generation of gamechangers shaping Ukraine’s future.

Qream did a great job of putting us in the light, and now we have a bright identity. The best part of our collaboration was the speed. When we agreed on something, we expected it the next day. Furthermore, I asked for multiple things and never heard 'no.'
If you want outstanding results, go to Qream.
